Ekobord, recognized for its environmentally friendly products, has embraced renewable energy in its production processes. The installation of a Solar Power Plant at the roof of its fibercement board production facility in Bilecik, Turkey marks a significant step. The plant is expected to fulfill a substantial portion of the factory's electricity needs, while Ekobord aims to reduce carbon emissions by 714 tons per year with the 1152 kWp SPP installed on the roof of the production facility.

Orhan Güner, chairman of the Board of Directors of Vefa Group: "We prioritize SPP investments, recognizing our country's dependence on foreign energy and the escalating demand for energy. Transitioning to renewable energy sources, we invested in a solar power plant at our Ekobord production facility, ranking among Turkey's top three fibercement producers.
The solar power plant is expected to provide over 50% of the electricity used in production. Our commitment extends as we implement SPP investments for our all group brands, exemplified by the operational power plant in our factory located in Bilecik, Turkey."
